The Media Sucks

Nov 05, 2009 -- 11:01am

By: Tootsie McGee

It is more apparent than ever that the Media plays favorites.  I can not stand to watch Sports television anymore because they are so unbelievably bias.  They pick teams and players to like and pick teams and players to hate.  And I, for one, am sick and tired of it.

Before the NFL season the Media decided they were going to hate Brett Favre for coming out of retirement.  News flash – the guy is a grown man and can make his own decisions and who cares what you sports commentators think.  Brett Favre has accomplished more in fifteen years than any of you sports commentators will in your entire lives.  So, shut up.

They also decide that they are going to hate the Yankees because they put all the money the team generates back into the team to make them continually successful.  I am sorry that they found a winning formula and aren’t losers.  Isn’t that why you own a team; to put the best players out there and compete at the highest level?  I guess its okay to do it when you are anyone other than the Yankees.

I’m tired of the Sports Media world trying to create news and injecting there own opinions instead of just reporting the news accurately and fairly.  They hate on the winners and raise up mediocracy to god like proportions.  There is a reason why no one trusts the news anymore and it is only a matter of time until that spills over into the sports world.

The Dawn is Coming

I have dared to dream.  My dream is as pure as it is simple.  The demise of Lou Holtz as a broadcaster.  Is it really too much to ask for?  I can not be the only person who thinks that this man is absolutely horrible in every way shape and form.

I have been known to be sensitive to people’s short comings but his lisp is completely unbearable.  Not only can I not understand what he is trying to communicate but since my TV is outstanding HD quality I literally feel his spit coming out of the screen and spraying all over me.

If you compound that to the facts that he has no idea what he is talking about with his complete bias towards Notre Dame and its all I can do not to drive up to Bristol and euthanize him.  Because let’s face it, someone needs to put him out of his misery.

He completely sucks and I really can not portray my deep hatred towards him because words can not to it justice.  So, I’ve come up with a solution.  I will drive up to Bristol and chain myself out side of the ESPN offices.  I will then demand the firing or resignation of Lou Holtz and until I get it I will not eat.  I will starve myself until the mission is complete and I am prepared to die for my cause.

It comes back to the old saying, “evil prevails when good men fail to act.”  Well, my friends, I have failed to act long enough.  This world is simply not big enough for Lou and me.  There can only be one.

Tootsie hopes he never bring her home to mom

So, if you haven’t heard by now I’m sure you will hear about it in the near future and if you don’t hear about it in the near future, stop reading this blog post because you are not my target demographic.

The Dallas Cowboys played and won their first game in their new $1.8 billion stadium. This wasn’t news to me because truth be told; I could give a rat’s ass about the Cowboys. What I found incredibly amusing/frightening is that during the game a couple decided to fornicate all over the bath room floor.

I believe this happened there is only so much beer a man can drink until he tricks himself into believing that this $1.8 billion stadium actually belongs to him and begins to whisper sweet nothings into the less than wholesome counterpart.

The thing I can’t believe is just how comfortable they were at accomplishing this feat. It’s not like it was just a quick, “I can’t believe where doing this” moment. It was a on the ground, time investing, grand stand of humping! It took so much time that a crowd gathered outside the stall door where pictures were snapped and a video was taken. NO, I will not post either. For I have some standards. Besides just google couple christen dallas stadium and you’ll find it.

It was reported that when the stall door opened the crowd cheered for the man. That had to be the ultimate walk of shame for that chickadee and the best moment of that guy’s life. As they left some guy shouted, “see you on YouTube!” and the happy man grinned and replied, “Bring it on!”

Tootsie is Big Ben's posse

Andrea McNulty, the Ben Roethlisberger, accuser said that she will drop the case against him if he will admit to raping her.  Yeah, that’ll happen.  Her case had holes in it through and through and it was amazing to me that she got this far in the legal process.

Let’s focus on Wh. Andrea McNulty.  She willingly sleeps with Big Ben and then a year and a half later decides she will claim rape and sue him for all he is worth.  There are many problems with this, the biggest being the fact that she had sent him and friends text messages bragging that she had in fact seduced Big Ben.

Once those came to light the case in my mind was completely over and Wh. McNulty should have realized that everyone on God’s green earth has seen her for what she truly is.  A gold digging prostitute who was too stupid to make something out of her life so decided to take the hard earned money of someone who is successful.

I am normally a mellow person but if there is something out there that really pisses me off it’s when lifeless losers try to trap and take money from people who worked hard for a living.

This really comes down to one thing.  She wanted something that she could not obtain on her own because she is a lazy and didn’t make the most out of her life.  So, she decides to target someone who didn’t just write off their life and has done well for themselves.  Simply inexcusable.

At least now she not only can go back to the gutter where she came from but everyone sees her for what she is.

Tootsie Talks Rays

Aug 31, 2009 -- 12:50pm

I have never seen a team more done than the Tampa Bay Rays.  They are more than done.  In fact, they should not even play out the rest of the season.

This team has been restrained all season long by poor management and bad player signings.  The Rays really had a chance to make a strong play off push but the fact remains that they did not add a bat or an arm before the trade deadline.

Scratch that, because even though the trade deadline is passed, they can still make trades.  They still have not made an acquisition.  They really don’t need an extra bat but let’s be honest with ourselves by saying that their bullpen is horrendous.

Grant Balfour could be the worst player in the MLB and JP Howell is solid but not a closer.  When a team wants to make a serious push to and through the playoffs you have to have a closer.  Howell is blowing saves and it isn’t his fault; he is a set up man that should never be in that position.

All we hear from the Rays' organization is how the fans don’t support the team.  Well, here is an idea for them:  Instead of complaining that no one supports you, make the moves to put the best team out there and make the playoffs.  You can’t have one good season after a decade long losing streak and expect people to support you.

Show that you are invested in the team and want them to succeed and the fans will respond.  The attendance will go up and you can stop being freaking babies.  They had a tremendous opportunity this year to show everyone that it wasn’t a one year fluke, that they really are committed to winning but they balked.

They will have to reevaluate what it is they are really trying to accomplish with this organization over the off season because there will be no playoff baseball this year.

Tootsie: Gators are just another team

With college football right around the corner is there anyone out there that does not see the Gators getting back to the national championship? I appreciate/realize what I am witnessing with Tim Tebow but I will be happy to see him leave.

The man is a true testament to how to play the game of football. Not only is he an outstanding leader but he is a righteous dude. The fact still stands that I cannot wait for him to leave. This season might as well be a wash because other than 3 games Florida does not face any tests.

The Athletic Department had an amazing opportunity to prove that not only do they have the best team with the best player but they have the best team and best player ever to play college football. But they monumentally screwed it up.

They scheduled weak games and insisted that since they are in the SEC its okay. For some reason I don’t think Charleston Southern, Troy or Florida International are going to hold up Florida at all. In fact if they don’t average 75 points in those games I’ll be very surprised.

UF chickened out and sold its soul for another title. They could have been the most talked about team in NCAA history; enshrined and remembered forever. Instead they will be just another team that won the title.
